Mentor Marshall  

February is National Mentoring Month. What better time to sign up to become a mentor!!!


Mentor Marshall is a program that Drug Free Marshall County proudly supports and promotes The purpose of the program is to provide positive individualized attention to children in need. At risk students are either failing academically or had repeat discipline referrals. These children will be designated by school counselors. The program is funded through Marshall County Community Education and registered with the State Attorney General's Office under the title Mentor Marshall. The mentor visits will take place during regular school or extended day hours. At least one hour per week for one year. Anyone who wishes to volunteer must first fill out an application which may be picked up at DAR elementary or the Marshall County Board of Education. Applications must be sent to Diana Turner, Mentor Director at DAR Elementary 6077 Main Street Grant AL 35747 or faxed to Diana Turner at 728-8430.
