My Choice

My Choice Independent Decision (ID) Program is designed to help students maintain or develop a drug and violence free lifestyle. Students become eligible when they begin the seventh grade and are asked to voluntarily sign a pledge to be drug and violence free. These students will be required to present a sign parent consent form before they are given their picture ID. Students with this ID card are eligible to receive discounts at local businesses as a reward for taking a stand to be drug and violence free.

All participating students are subject to random drug screening with less than 24 hour notification. School discipline records serve as a measurement documenting non-violence. The family’s confidentiality is protected and drug test results will not be releaed to law enforcement. However, if a student test positive the ID card will be pulled and can be returned pending probationary period.
